My grandmother was an important figure who lived in my childhood home and greatly influenced my life

I started photographing my grandmother when the signs of dementia began to appear.

It started with sentences she used to say about the feeling of loneliness and disengagement.

I continued to photograph her as her clarity came and went until her death in the nursing home at the age of 92
